Students from 50 countries, 98 nationalities study at our university. The students not only receive a quality education, but also find application for their talents and ideas among the active student groups.
The center of foreign students is the International Friendship Council of KubSAU. Many participants created interesting and colorful events. Recently, a group of students won a grant from Rosmolodezh for the implementation of the project “Workshop for International Cooperation: Multinational Kuban”. Within the framework of the workshop, educational tracks are held, the competition for Foreign Student of the Year, etc. we are launched. Students shared these and many other success stories from the past year with Vice-Rector Tatyana Polutina.
After a warm welcome, the panellists went to the opening of the traditional exhibition of national souvenirs of the peoples of the world “Cultural Heritage of Students”.
Only our international students know how to tell us about homelands in such a way that the listener can clearly visualize having been there. On the colorful “islands” of 12 countries of the world, students presented national souvenirs, clothes and dishes. They told us about the peculiarities of traditions and customs of their homeland. The exhibition is a great opportunity to see almost the whole world in a couple of hours!
The program of the day continued with the interactive quest “We are together”. At 9 sites located throughout the university, students had to complete creative tasks aimed at getting to know the cultures from various countries around the world.
On that day, verses in Tajik, songs in Uzbek and Arabic sounded from the youth leisure center Synthesis; Armenian and Abkhazian dances set the rhythm. Such a chamber performance was prepared by foreign students themselves.
The mini-concert smoothly turned into a bright show in the assembly hall of the University. The program was saturated with a completely new repertoire of university artists. The concert evoked special emotions not only among the ‘indigenous inhabitants’ of the university, but also among foreign guests!
