On May 14 Russian as a foreign language Intercollegiate Olympiad was held at our University. It was made at the initiative of Public Relations Directorate of Administration of the city of Krasnodar as part of Slavonic Literature and Culture Day celebrations.
48 foreign students of preparatory and basic faculties of seven leading universities of Krasnodar participated in the competition. Competitive tests took place in two rounds: the first included writing skills test and the second one was supposed to examine the skills of speaking and listening. In addition the competitive program for students of preparatory faculties included recitation of poems by their favorite Russian poets.
Prize-winners were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts by Administration of the city of Krasnodar. Other participants received letters of gratitude.
