A group of 27 students and lecturers of University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf visited Kuban SAU on the 27-28th of May. Within the framework of the visit organized excursions to „Krasnodarskoe“ and „Kuban” academic farms, CLAAS production plant and KubSAU Botanic Garten for the students. The guests also took part in round table meeting “Russia – Germany dialogue of cultures”.
The meeting was attended by Peter Breunig, Professor of University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf, Tatyana Polutina, Vice-Rector for International and Youth Policy, Konstantin Tiupakov, Dean of Economics Faculty, Jury Berschitsky, Head of Agrarian Management Chair, Eleonora Naynodina, Head of the Department of International and External Relations, Anna Olkhovaya, Head of Volunteer Center as well as KubSAU and HSWT students.
Tatyana Polutina told about the history of our University. Ms. Vise-Rector underlined that among 18 000 students there are about 700 foreign students from 57 countries. She payed attention to the fact that about 75% of our students are countryside and most of them want to come back to their native towns after they graduate. There are 12 Ministers of Agriculture among Kuban SAU graduates.
Peter Breunig, Professor of HSWT shared his: “Despite of our short term visit, we’ve already seen and enjoyed much of your University. At HSWT we value students and staff academic exchange, so I’m happy to see many students here as they have an opportunity to know about studying at another higher education institution”.
Tatyana Polutina added that KubSAU students value the University and the education they get here. The round table meeting atmosphere was very friendly. The students had many questions to each other.
The last floor was given to Eleonora Nainodina, Head of the Department of International and External Relations. She said that Kuban SAU is an institution of international education with students from 57 countries. Our University welcomes German students to study at KubSAU.
At the end of the meeting students of University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf presented KubSAU students Bavaria flag with their signatures. After the round table meeting students of partner universities went for a walk in Krasnodar.
