For 90 years Kuban State Agrarian University has become one of the largest universities in Russia with a unique academic environment. Here we cherish traditions and keeping up with the times we use scientific innovation in the field of education.

Kuban State Agrarian University is one of the most recognized leaders of agrarian education in Russia, the largest center of science, education and innovation in the Southern Federal District. It is the leading organization of Kuban Agrarian scientific and educational association, which consists of more than 20 agrarian organizations, including 12 research institutes of Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, 12 regional colleges and technical schools.

• According to RF Rospatent KubSAU leads in inventive activity and patenting, and is among the top three patent holders in Russia;
• leads in the ranking of best agricultural universities in Russia according to the RF Ministry of Education.

University research complex comprises 2 Research Institutes (Research Institute of Biotechnology and Certification of Food Products, Research Institute of Applied and Experimental Ecology), training, research and production innovative complex “Technologist”, 2 highly profitable educational and experimental farms – “Kuban” and “Krasnodarskoe”.

There are 98 departments at the university, 81 of which are headed by Doctors of Science. 78% of academic teaching staff have a degree, including 20% that hold a PhD.

The University provides education for more than 22 thousand specialists at 26 faculties on 63 specialties. 1300 teachers, including 7 academicians and corresponding members of various academies of sciences, more than 250 doctors and professors, 556 candidates of science and assistant professors successfully carry out the learning process. The University has 11 dissertation councils. Postgraduate training is available on 38 specialties.

Promising scientific researches, development and innovation activities are held at the university:

• branch collection of patent documents comprises more than 2 million units of information;
• innovation Portfolio of more than 2,000 inventions;

At the university students’ scientific activity is actively developing, 119 scientific associations: scientific circles, creative groups, laboratories are working. Coordination of this work is performed by the Board of scientific and technical creativity of the youth. More than 600 students receive scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, Krasnodar Krai Administration, the Academic Council of the university, Vladimir Potanin’s Charity Foundation, Oleg Deripaska’s “Volnoe Delo”, the Russian agrarian movement. All the scholarships are granted for active scientific research.
