This academic year Kuban SAU received the largest number of foreign students in recent years - 263 people. All help guys to adapt in a new country: the leadership of the Kuban State Agrarian University, volunteers, classmates.
Today was a meeting of foreign students and the rector of Kuban State Agrarian University. As noted by the rector of the University Alexander Ivanovich Trubilin, it was rather an informal conversation with the slogan "Welcome!".
The event began with a screening of the film about the participation of the University in the 2014 winter Olympics. And it is not by accident: the volunteer team of the University was one of the most numerous in past Games.
The rector introduced foreigners with education features, spoke about the possibilities for fulfillment. Alexander Ivanovich wished the guys that their student days were bright, vivid and will be remembered forever. And for this purpose it is necessary not only to choose an interesting profession, but also to express themselves in sports and Amateur.
The Vice-rector for International and External Relations, T.N. Polutina made the presentation and noted that foreigners live together with children from Russia - so they can immerse themselves in a new culture and learn a new language.
The meeting was continued by the Head of the volunteer center Anna Olhovaya. She told the audience that, there are a lot of guys among the volunteers who meet foreigners at the airport, happy to show them the city and help to settle into everyday life. The most active of them received thanks.
Foreign students asked many questions to the rector: how to get a job, get a scholarship of the company, to join the sports section, where you can watch the student program of the Kub SAU "СтудLife", what projects will involve volunteers and many others.
This was the first meeting, but not the last. As noted by Alexander Ivanovich, contacts with foreigners will continue, and not only in the form of mass meetings. The University is always open to dialogue and willing to help with the solution of various problems. Welcome!
