It was dedicated to the Day of Russian Science. The research activities of young scientists of the university in 2022 was the topic of discussion. Chairman Arkadiy Moiseev for the Council of Young Scientists, spoke about key events which were taking place at our university and in other agricultural universities and research centers.
During the event Moiseev discussed the successful results of the implementation of the grant of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science to support student research activity, the winner of which in 2022 was our University. Arkadiy Moiseev noted that many of the activities that were implemented this year under the grant will become traditional.
During one of the round tables, young scientists, members of the Student Research Society had a conversation with Vice-Rector for Research Andrey Koshchaev. Topics covered in the discussion were plans for student mobility, opportunities for cooperation with foreign scientists, grant activities and support for young scientists. In addition, the talented youths shared their successes in scientific research and innovation.
– For 3 years, my team and I have been implementing an important social project to develop a hardware and software complex for the rehabilitation of people with cerebral palsy. Currently, we need specialists in the field of medicine to join this work, – said Yegor Bolotov, student of the Faculty of Applied Informatics, and recent winner of the IQ-year competition.
Yulia Zaichenko, student of the Faculty of Economics, spoke about her research on growing the Paulownia plant.
– This is a unique tree, which is important cultural aspects. In Kuban, it has only relatively recently begun growing in the region. Meanwhile, in Southeast Asia, it is traditionally used to make musical instruments, furniture, and crafts. My task is to give an economic justification for its cultivation in the south of Russia. And I am sure that this cultivar will be in demand in our region, – Yulia Zaichenko said.
Anastasia Elisyutikova, student of the Faculty of Processing Technologies, presented a project to create a biological product to protect plants from fungal diseases. Last year, she was awarded the IQ-of-the-Year Award. Additionally, the leading domestic company EuroChem became interested in this project, and allocated a grant to further support the ideas of the young scientist.
As a result of the meeting, the top student scientific societies of our university were awarded the diplomas of the rector:
III place – Faculty of Management;
II place – Faculty of Hydraulics;
I place – Faculty of Agronomy and Ecology.
At the end of the event, Vice-Rector for Research Andrey Koshchaev congratulated the participants on the Day of Russian Science, wished them luck on future, achievements and scientific expansion.
