Maria Kolodeznaia, a 4-th year student of the Faculty of Agrochemistry and Plant Protection, shared her exchange experience under the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme: “This is my second academic exchange during my undergraduate studies. From my experience, I can say that studying in Europe is a great opportunity to see the indescribable architecture of cities, learn about new cultures, make friends from different countries, broaden your horizons, improve your English language skills or learn a new language, and gain unique knowledge in your field of study.

Unfortunately, quarantine measures have made their own adjustments to the lives of international students in particular. For example, all events were canceled. It was necessary to stay at home for 14 days after arrival in Hungary.  All lectures were online. However, the pandemic did not prevent me from enjoying life, gaining new knowledge and making good friends in Hungary.

I lived in Gyöngyös. It seems to me that a small town is the best way to feel the atmosphere of the country and become acquainted with its culture. Most of all, I remember the architecture of Budapest, especially the Hungarian Parliament Building and Liberty Bridge.

Studying abroad is invaluable experience I will never forget.

Also, I would like to express my boundless gratitude to the staff of the International Relations Department of KubSAU for their assistance in processing and submitting documents to Tempus Public Foundation.”
