The Diploma Supplement is an official document developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe, and UNESCO to provide the universal means of recognition of national higher education certificates in accordance with the “Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region” dated April 11, 1997. The Russian Federation joined the convention under the Federal Law dated May 4, 2000, No. 65-FZ, “On Ratification of Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region.”

The Diploma Supplement is an official addition to the higher education certificate, whose purpose is to facilitate the validation process of the education certificates issued by Kuban SAU internationally.

With the Diploma Supplement, you can:

• Continue your education abroad with credit transfer for some disciplines.
• Find employment abroad; the diploma evaluation process will take less time.
• Find employment in an international company with a representative office in Russia; the diploma evaluation process will take less time.

The Diploma Supplement is in English; it includes the description, level, volume, content, and status of the received education, as well as the information about the Russian grading system and how well the degree holder knows the program material.

In accordance with the recommendations of UNESCO and the European University Association, the Diploma Supplement comprises eight sections:

1. Information about the holder of the Diploma Supplement.

2. Information about the acquired qualification.

3. Information about the level of qualification.

4. Information about the academic program contents and obtained results. The results are presented in compliance with the national and European grading systems; the workload is presented in academic hours and credits (ECTS).

5. Information about the functional purpose of the qualification.

6. Additional information about the university.

7. Verification of the supplement.

8. Information about the Russian education system.

How to Get a Diploma Supplement

The service fee is 5,100 RUB. The document shall be ready in 15 days; if you received your education certificate in 2013 or earlier, this period extends up to 30 days.

To apply for the Diploma Supplement, you should:

1. Pay the fee with the University’s bank account details;

2. Provide the following documents to the International Department:

• Copy of your ID document
• Copy of your education certificate issued by Kuban SAU
• Payment confirmation

At the International Department’s office, fill in:

• Application addressed to the Head of the International Relations Office
• Personal Information Processing Agreement

Who Can Apply for Diploma Supplement

The holders of bachelor’s, specialist, and master’s degree certificates issued by Kuban SAU can apply for the Diploma Supplement. Please apply in advance; the process takes from 15 to 30 days.
